Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is a Title 1 school where the student demographic is a lower economic status. My students receive free breakfast and lunch everyday. They have a lot of needs, not only at home, but in school as well. Our school works very hard in assisting these students to succeed by helping them get materials they may need. My students are creative and very clever. Everyday my students walk in with a smile on their faces ready to learn!
My Project
Having these materials will make a difference for my students by giving them books that actually interest them. As a teacher, I want to motivate my students to continue to read books that are fascinating to them. These books will go directly into my library where students will be able to check out and take them home to read.
Also, the flexible seating will help my students get out of their seats and have somewhere to sit to focus while they are still learning.
This will help my students to be able to sit somewhere else other than their tables.
