This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students sometimes need help with dealing with their feelings. The books I chose focus on Social Emotional Learning and help students with ways to cope with new feelings like being anxious or nervous or what to do when you get angry to help calm down. Students will be able to check these books out and teachers can use them in their classroom for lessons on Social Emotional Learning.

Books are a great way for students to see characters and show examples of the strategies to use.

I believe that students will enjoy these stories because they may find a character who feels how they feel sometimes and find different ways to address these issues.
