My Students

Times are tough right now. There is so much uncertainty in our school, community, and country. But, my students will walk through the door ready to learn. I'll meet them where ever they are on their learning path.

Their crooked smiles will be hidden by face masks, but their brains and hearts will be open and ready.

Second graders make me smile and teach me so much. It's going to be a challenging year.

My Project

Since students will only be in the classroom for 2 days a week, they will need plenty of appropriate reading material at home. Their books will need to be kept separate from other children's books. I have a large classroom library, and students can check out specially chosen books to match their interests and reading level.

My students need sturdy book bags to store and transport their take-home reading books.

I can't make them read, but I can make sure they have plenty of reading material to choose from.
