Help me give my students a variety of titles for their classroom library!
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Everyday my students enter the classroom, they know that each of them has a place and a purpose. Each student can offer something to enrich others' lives. We create a safe environment by using the motto, "Everyone makes mistakes, it helps us learn!"
My classroom is made up of 28 inquisitive and diverse children.
My students are diligent, hardworking and always trying to exceed expectations. I want to be able to support their social/emotional needs and build a classroom library that includes a variety of titles.
The book titles I've selected all focus on social, emotional, gender and race related topics. My students need materials that are relatable and easy to understand.
By building a classroom library with these books, my students will have access to topics that can lead to thought provoking discussions and possibly help them answer questions they may have.
I intend to use these books for in-class lessons. They will remain in our classroom library when school opens, but while we are distance learning, I will be reading these books to students via video conferencing.
