Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile and possibly help my students with obtaining books. My students are coming to me in fourth grade for the Reading/English/Florida Studies classes. The kids are wanting to read certain books that I am unable to provide for them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My students are underprivileged and we are classified as a Title One school, Most of my students do not get food while at home and can rely on two meals a day while at school.
These kids are not able to buy a composition book and glue which I use for my classroom. I am buying them these essentials when the after school sales start.
My kids really need some help and with the number I have, a little over fifty, I do not have the means to get them all the materials they need. I would sincerely appreciate any help that you would be able to give so that these amazing kids can read some amazing, meaningful, life lesson books that will help them become better people! My Project
I am looking to getting books that I have researched, and some I have used, that will help our students think about the world, how to treat others and how they feel about themselves, differently than they do now. I am so excited to introduce these books to my kiddos this year! I am hoping to get the book, "Wonder," "Shiloh," "Watsons go to Birmingham," "Hoot," and some resources for "Bridge to Teribithia" and "How to Eat Fried Worms."
I have so many amazing activities for each book, but the end lesson is how to treat others, but also how to have self confidence in yourself and spread your "light" and "joy" around to all others in the world.
I honestly believe, and have experienced these books change children and their attitude towards others and, more importantly, how they feel about themselves. So please, help my children gain these lessons and confidence with these materials. Thank you all for your help and loving my kiddos too!
