The kids at my school come to school each and every day, energized and ready to learn. We are located in the great state of Nebraska. Our school is not a Title I school, so funding for extra supplies is not in the budget. There are students with family members serving in the military, students who are English Language Learners and many more.
We need diverse materials to use during our writing time, center time, and science time.
Kindergarten is an important year of school for the children.
It is the first year they are working together as a team, so every child can succeed!
My Project
We need new books about pushes and pulls so kindergarten students can learn about the science of motion, force, push, and pulls with a more active approach.
We need multiple restaurant ordering pads to use in our dramatic play area when we have a pizza shop and donut shop during the year.
This will help us write down orders and practice our inventive spelling.
We need storage boxes to keep our magnetic alphabet letters organized so every groups has their own letters. We also need masks and gloves to perform the surgery on different words we are trying to spell.
We need books from the Boxcar Children to use during read alouds.
