My students are amazing individuals who work hard to be the best they can possibly be! With your added help, they can not only reach this potential, but blow past it.
I have a class full of extremely active, energetic, and hand on learners!
They want to go out and try and test everything that they possibly can. I want to provide them with every opportunity to do just that. For these children, it is not enough to hear about phenomenon, they have to experience it all first hand.
These kiddos are are future of the world. It's my job to provide them with enough knowledge and experience to face that new future.
My Project
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, students have struggled. Not only academically, but mentally and emotionally. With the resources that I am looking to purchase, I want to address each of these areas for my students - and help them improve.
Students lives are difficult without school - why not make school a safe and fun place.
Part of what I am looking to purchase are a series of inside recess games. Throughout the year, we have to spend days inside for a variety of reasons. While it is easy to throw on a video, I think that it is more beneficial for students to see their teacher laugh and play games with them.
I have also asked for a series of biographical books. Too many students are seeing destruction and despair all around them. I want students to have real life examples of people who overcame their own difficulties, and came out the other side stronger. Its important for the students to see that it is not only possible, but it has been done.
Lastly, school is meant to teach students. Each day we are presented with how the pandemic has affected our students. We are playing catch up daily. The materials requested are going to be used to fill in the reading holes that I observe each day. My students went into quarantine for the first time in 3rd grade. Many are still confused about what a proper noun is. I need more resources to help me teach them these skills that they have missed.
