Help me give my students access to books that will support their personal growth, as well as a means to display them so students can see all the wonderful titles available to them.

My Project

Helping students see their place in the world around them is a big part of reading, and I want to support my students to see all the mirrors and windows they can. Social and Mental health are of the utmost important to me with my students, and I know that by giving them books they will grow with globally diverse voices, authors and characters.

For this project I would like to increase my currently classroom library to better aid in my students' growth and well being.

All of the books I've chosen will help students see themselves in literature, as well as seeing world's and perspectives beyond their own. I have also included a means to store and display those novels so students can see all the wonderful titles and voices available to them.

Sometimes the best way to support a struggling student is to have them see themselves in someone else: books can provide just that, and I want to help give the right book to the right person at the right time. Words are a powerful gift.
