This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

What is the first book you remember reading? My students are at a very important age. This is the time that we foster a love for reading! I would like to be able to give them the opportunity to read that first memorable book.

My students are incredible!

I teach at an inner city school in MS. Most of my kids struggle with reading, so we focus on it constantly. We really need a classroom library worthy of the name. These kids deserve a set of books that are going to inspire them to read more!

My Project

I have requested a variety of grade level books for my third grade classroom library. It includes Geronimo Stilton, Charlotte's Web, Bud, Not Buddy and so on. Giving these kids a chance to discover these books will help foster a love for reading and open their minds to other books.

Reading is one of the most important skills we teach our children.

Please help me fund this classroom library, so that I can help spread my love for reading to my students. Love for reading should be contagious!
