Hooray! This project is fully funded
Reading is the key to success. Fourth grade students love to read books written by Kevin Henkes. A favorite is Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse.
I teach 25 wonderful fourth grade students in a special needs school just west of the city.
Most of my students receive free lunch. They expressed an interest in books written by Kevin Henkes. A favorite is Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse. My students would like to form a literature circle and study the story of Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse. They will discuss the author's purpose and make connections from previous stories that they have read.
If my students had multiple copies of Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse, they would learn how to master literature circles with an easy to read, interesting book. They would work on vocabulary and word meaning. Students would learn how to assign tasks to each member of the group. It is very important for students to take control of their responsibilities. Reading scores would soar as they gained confidence reading this amazing book.
Please help my students gain the confidence that they need.
This group is a special group of students that want to improve so that they can make the world a better place for everyone.
