Our school strives to find the strengths in all students. I would love to develop these strengths. My class consists of 25 amazing students. Sadly, many of my students have never heard the classic (non-Disney) fairy tales!
Fairy tales and fables are much more than simple stories to entertain and amuse your children.
Although these fantastical stories are important for fostering children’s imagination and creativity, many also contain valuable lessons that can offer unique learning opportunities.
If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales. - Albert Einstein
These books will make possible the Fairy Tale Friday that my students would love so much. Our entire Friday will be themed around the fairy tale of the week. We will read several versions of the same story and compare and contrast the stories as well as write about the characters, setting, plot, and problem and solution for each story. We will also act out the stories and complete coordinating STEAM projects.
With these new books, my students will be able to learn valuable life lessons from the fairy tales and develop a lifelong love of reading.
This project will help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
