Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My school is a Title I school, and all students receive free lunch and breakfast. This is my first year teaching 4th grade. I know that my class will be full of unique personalities. I am looking forward to seeing the creative, funny, dramatic, and mysterious personalities of my students.

I try to encourage and nurture a love for learning.

I am building lifelong readers, lovers of literature, creative thinkers, and effective writers. We are a room of authors, mathematicians, scientists, poets, teachers and learners!

My Project

This is my first year teaching 4th grade. I am super excited about this opportunity. All students need plenty of opportunities to read a wide variety of books. This collection of classic books will be a great addition to my classroom

The addition of these books into my classroom will greatly increase the chances that students will pick up a book and just read for the love of reading.

It will expose them to many books that they may not find at home.

I know that my students will love reading these books. My hopes are that my students will continue reading throughout their lives.
