My students need to have access to books that we can do novel studies. We will take these books and create writing, research, and stem projects to tie cross curricular activities to each book.

My Students

I work with a very diverse group of students. Their abilities, strengths and weaknesses all blend together to make for an amazing group. I have gone to utilizing alternative seating to help accommodate my students and create the best learning environment for each child. I also allow for Friday’s to be a fully hands on day where I integrate STEM. I am looking forward to creating more projects for my students. By having more books, I can supply them with more opportunities!!!

My Project

By having access to these books, it will allow students to learn that it only takes one person or event to change the world. By reading engaging booms, it will allow character building skills. I will focus on applying meaning to their every day lives. They will also engage in hands on activities to build their STEM skills. This will be done by researching animals, creating biomes, and so much more. We will also enrich their understanding with writing and art projects. They will create their own ideas and words and defend why they think things should be changed. They will write reports on their learning and express an overall learning.
