Help me give my students books in their hands to help foster their reading skills that have suffered due to covid.

My Students

My students are why I am a teacher. My 5th grade class is full of different abilities and backgrounds. I have a number of students that come from different academic backgrounds and are in need of additional supports. This is where tier 2 interventions come in.

Tier 2 support is essential to my classroom.

These students try their hardest during regular class instruction and want to succeed in class. They have the heart and desire to be their best. This group of kids need as much support as I can give them in the best setting, I can give them.

My Project

Books are needed to help children like reading. If students struggle in reading they will not progress in their academics. These books are books that students like and are wanting to read.

These books can be used as tier 2 reading groups or has individual readers while at home.

Students are allowed and encouraged to check books out to read during individual reading time along with at home. A larger class library opens up options for my students to check out and read wherever they are whether at home with COVID or in class learning.
