Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our 2nd-grade students come from diverse backgrounds. They all strive to excel in their learning. Many of our students are second language learners, which showcases how important school and learning is to our community. Help our kids continue their love of learning

My Project

These books offer high interest in that they are about real life and chocolate. Students are sure to enjoy a good read. Our small groups will read together and stay together throughout the book to ensure that students understand the concept of a book club. These books will be put in the hands of students for book club. Students will read in small groups virtually through Zoom and discuss the books. Offering a student a book that is of high interest will hopefully spark the joy of reading for pleasure.
