My Project

My students love to read! And they love to talk about books! The lunchtime book clubs at my school are popular and full of students who aren't shy about sharing their opinions and ideas about what they like and don't like about what they read. The biggest obstacle to them reading more books is getting an actual copy of a book into every reader's hand. Your support of this project will provide a copy of the selected book for each student to read at the same time. And future students will have the opportunity to read these books in subsequent years.

Even without me asking probing questions, my students are eager to discuss plots, twists and turns, world-building, themes, character development, and literary devices.

The lunchtime library book clubs provide them with a space to explore different genres and formats of books with other students who share their love of literature.
