My Students

My students are kind, creative, and brilliant and are always looking for ways to be more inclusive. They strive to be welcoming to others and to create a classroom environment that facilitates learning. Even with the challenges of the past year, they have continued to put forth effort into learning and growing.

They care deeply about things that are interesting to them, and they want school to reflect what they care about!

My Project

I believe strongly in fostering a love of reading in my students. One of the ways I do this is by having a variety of new and engaging books in my classroom library. These books help students see themselves represented in literature, and show them that reading can be interesting and important. These books help students learn more about the world and about each other. By having them available at my fingertips, I can easily get them into the hands of students. I plan to give these books to students, and then those students will have the tools to change the world!
