Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are an excited bunch who are always eager to learn new things.
While they all come from very different backgrounds and home lives, they are all the same in their dedication to school and learning.
My school resides in a neighborhood where many of the families are immigrants and speak languages other than English. Many of my students enter school speaking little to no English, but are excited to learn the language. Their different cultures help to make my classroom a diverse learning space for all.
My Project
The books in this project are similar to books that have been big hits in my classroom! In order to continue my student's love of reading, I am hoping to gain more books that really peak their interest and keep them engaged. I have found that children's love of reading starts at an early age and I want to help that love grow.
The Reading Strategies & Writing Strategies books will help me plan for instruction and provide my students with the most meaningful lessons.
I hope to foster my student's love of reading by providing them with a variety of books to grab their attention.
