My Students

My students come a very diverse school with a number of different cultures, backgrounds, and experiences all coming together to make one amazing community. My class is a group of growing readers who don't always have the resources needed to gain an appreciation that the world of books can open to them.

My Project

This set of books is a list curated by my students, for my students. We did a book project where they researched books that they are genuinely interested in reading / books that they felt that actually wanted to read using a number of resources to come to their lists of top three books.

It is my goal with this project to keep my students engaged, and spark a joy for reading that some of them have yet to find.

My class is full of students that have not yet found the joys of reading and all the places that books can take you. I want to give them these books that they want to read in order to create some excitement around books and reading in my classroom!
