Students in my classroom have wonderful minds that need pushed to unlock their full potential. They are working on accepting challenges and facing them head on. They don't always have the resources to progress academically and socially, so I would love to provide them with the opportunities to do so.
Students in my classroom are inquisitive and determined to learn.
I teach 2nd grade in a K-5 building with a lower socio-economic background. My kids are willing to try any new technology and they need the opportunity to utilize different resources to be prepared for the future.
My Project
Books are an essential part of our learning. They help engage students, peak their interest in a topic, and connect with what I am trying to teach. Using books to supplement a lesson is a huge part of my teaching. I love to use books in all academic areas. These books are specifically for social skills, math, and word study.
These books will help grab the attention of my students, so they can focus on the message I am trying to teach them.
The literature books will help me teach them essential lessons such as trying their hardest, never giving up, being an individual, and treating others with respect. The resource books will also help me become a better teacher by helping me understand ways students can learn. It is important for a teacher to continue to learn knew ways she/he can help her students, and these materials will help me do that.
