Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have a great group of first graders. They are energetic and excited for learning opportunities. This group is a mix of levels who want hands-on learning opportunities with technology mixed in. They are thirsty for knowledge and I want to show them how to find the answers they want.
After surviving Hurricane Harvey, we are trying to put that behind us and have a wonderful year full of learning and growth.

My Project
These books will help enrich my classroom library. My students will be able to put their hands-on quality literature written for kids. We will use these books in lessons to learn skills across multiple genres as well as character education. Literature is so important and a love of literature has to start early. My goal of adding more quality books into our instruction is to foster a love of learning in my students at a young age. These books will be read aloud to the students and then put in the classroom library where they can reread them as they want.
