However, problems caused by the lack of school funding are not problems any teenager should have to overcome. Please help me remove at least one stumbling block from their path.
My Project
Every year I assign my students a book project. The project goal is to get kids reading something they enjoy. Many of them haven't read a book on their own since elementary school.
High school boys are often the toughest students to get hooked on a book.
As a way to try and solve that, I am trying to add more titles that are sports and military related to my class library. While sports and action are not just for boys, I have found that those who are reluctant readers are very often looking for those types of books.
