Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach first grade in the South Bronx and I would love to have more books for my classroom library. I have a limited number of books for my students and I am concerned that I will run out of books for independent reading. My students read at these levels: A, C, F, and I. The books are read daily for independent reading. Students need a variety of texts so that they can make text to self, text to text, and text to world connections. Students also look at word patterns and that helps them with reading writing. Any books that can be donated to my classroom would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
