My Students

We are a small charter school (125 students) in Northern Nevada. Our students often do not fit into traditional high school settings and we have high standards as we work towards graduation. This year we are offering Spanish classes for the first time and our goal is to build a strong program.

My Project

Reading and listening input in the target language (Spanish) is crucial for language acquisition. These books would provide great Spanish input for my students at their various levels. These books range from novice to intermediate and would provide my students with language practice as we learn more Spanish as a class! I can't wait to use these books for independent reading, group reading projects, and to introduce different cultural themes to the class. These books will also be used as supports to challenge my students who already speak Spanish but are working on reading Spanish better.
