My Project

I have a group of students who are obsessed with soccer. Not just soccer in general but Messi, Ronaldo, and Mbape. They wear the jerseys, they play the game at recess, and their lunch conversation is a constant debate about who is the best soccer player in the world.

Teachers are always looking for the hook to get their students engaged in reading!

For this group, it’s obvious! Soccer! The fact that these books focus on achieving your dreams through hard work is just an added bonus!

I can only imagine the excitement these readers will feel when I unveil our new soccer section in the classroom library! And my teacher heart can hardly handle the excitement of teaching them about the non fiction text features that will help them navigate the books.
