it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Hello this is my first year teaching Pre-K. I teach Pre-K to students who are are economically disadvantaged. A lot of my students do not have a lot of parental interaction, so they do not receive that one on one time at home to help with their education. I have a classroom full of diverse learners and I am working my hardest to meet all of their needs.
I have several students who cannot recognize their letters or their numbers.
I also have students who are more advanced with writing, spelling, and comprehension. For my students who are struggling I am working with them with teacher created resources and a lot of small group time. I could really use some help with meeting the needs of all my students with more resources since my time with them is limited.
My Project
My classroom needs books for our classroom library and centers. According to the Pre-K guidelines each center should have five books per a center, which would come to 100 books per a class. My class does not have near enough books and we need help! This book set I requested is curriculum based and goes with each theme I teach using the Frog Street program. These books will assist in engaging my students with the theme we are discussing and make our learning fun!!!
I also requested a classroom management system which consists of an innovative management system packed with tools to assist with creating a successful learning environment.
It would help me set up a print-rich classroom, establish routines, plan activities, and ensure easy transitions. I would be able to use wall charts for taking attendance, assigning classroom helpers, and posting schedules and rules. I would also receive letter cards and classroom labels to promote language development. The classroom management materials also helps to manage learning centers and songs with activities to encourage positive behavior! Thank you so much for your help!
