My students need a variety of box set books that are appropriate and appealing to add to our classroom library - hopefully to spark interest in certain genres of books!

My Students
My students live in a small very rural town in eastern NC. Our elementary school is the only school in our district that is a Title I school. Many of the children have never had the opportunity to leave the county, much less the area in which they live; therefore they are not exposed to many things outside of our quiet country way of living. Despite these things, the students are typically happy to come to school. It's where they are guaranteed stability and structure and have many opportunities to interact with things they might not have exposure to without school.
My Project
My students love to read and I strive to provide them with a wide selection of genres so they are able to choose what interests them. These particular box sets of books will provide my students with more fictional exposure from different authors in hopes to spark an interest in either a particular author's style of writing or a specific genre that might interest them.
When students have a larger choice of books to look through, they are motivated to find something unique to their interests.
Ultimately, the goal is to make them life-long readers so finding something that interests them it crucial in their development of reading!
