My students need 2 read-along books and 2 sets of Classroom Classics Read-Alongs to listen to reading during our Daily 5 Reading.

My kids are special people.
I have all ability levels from proficient readers to beginning readers with special needs. Our school is the lowest income school in our community and we have the highest amount of service learning projects ongoing throughout the year.
Our daily reading instruction consists of my students practicing their reading accuracy, fluency and comprehension independently while I pull small groups of students. One of the biggest building blocks in reading well is to read fluently. Listening to reading is a big component in becoming a fluent reader but it also helps the students recognize words for better accuracy, and when a book is read aloud they have better comprehension. These books with Cd's will allow them to become better readers in all three important categories.
My students are truly developing a love and a craving for reading.
