I am a second grade teacher at an elementary school located in downtown Raleigh, NC. . In our school we do not have a reading series and we rely on a bookroom that is shared by all of the teachers in the school. I am looking to obtain beginning chapter books in sets of 6 to help supply the reading room. I'm hoping that by giving the kids the opportunity to read all different types of books and read about topics and characters they are familiar with that they will be enthusiastic about reading. I would like to have books in my classroom for the children to be able to read on their own and also to use for reading groups. I am hoping that by getting books that are current, the children will be more excited about reading.
