My Students

I teach ninth and twelfth grade English. I have a wide variety of ability levels in my classroom. I teach honors English, as well as having a class of mostly special education students. My twelfth grade students are mostly students that are not college bound and just want to earn credit so they can graduate high school.

COVID-19 has made it difficult for my students to access content materials.

Even though I have materials at the school, I do not have enough to give to each student so they can access material outside of the classroom.

My Project

COVID-19 has caused many students to be absent at different times throughout the year. Right now, I don't have enough books for a classroom, so students that have to stay home do not have access to learning materials while at home. I need additional books for my classroom to be able to give to students who have to stay home.

By funding my project, students that have to stay home will still have access to course materials, and they will be able to continue learning along with the class instead of pausing and trying to get caught up when they return.
