Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Each student in my class is unique and comes from diverse backgrounds. Some students have special needs, while others qualify based on income or at-risk status. They vary in age from 3-5 years old.
They are all phenomenal little people with big ideas and a strong curiosity for learning.
In our classroom, we strive to provide these littlest of learners with stability, encouragement, and a nurturing environment.
It is important that we provide them with the consistency they need. Some come from low-income households. We also serve ELL students who have varying backgrounds.
My Project
My students use books to help enhance their learning experiences. We use a variety of books to create engaging center activities. We are requesting books for each of our classrooms learning centers!
By giving my students books I can help create new opportunities within their centers.
Books about art, blocks, and dramatic play need to be in those centers to help students understand the different things they can play.
By giving my students the books Too Much Glue we can explain how to use certain art materials. The book Block City will help students use their imaginations while creating with blocks. The book Mr. Cookie Baker will help students with their play in the kitchen center.
