My fourth grade classroom is full of energy, creativity, and personality! They are an incredibly sweet and unique group of kids.
We spend a lot of time and effort into creating a classroom where we all feel valued, respected, and important.
We focus our attention and behaviors toward becoming responsible citizens in and outside of the classroom. Our school is wonderful. The teachers and staff are the most dedicated I've worked with. I honestly know that every member of our team works daily to enrich the lives and education of our students.
This year my district adopted the Next Generation Science Standards. It is an exciting change, but now our classroom science library needs updating. Fourth grade students are naturally curious and usually want to learn more about topics they find engaging. Having reading materials available to them that match our contents provide them with the opportunity to learn more.
The new science standards will also be a starting point for our writing projects this year.
These books will give my students a valid, reliable reference to start their research. Kids love science, and it is my hope to stretch this into writing as well.
