This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year my class needs are very unique since my students are reading significantly below grade level. Additionally, the students in my classroom are economically disadvantaged and need all the additional resources to excel.

My kids will show growth in their reading fluency and comprehension by having access to books that are at their level.

Students who cannot read material at third grade level will feel more confident, interested, and engaged during reading time. I would love to provide my students with the best resources to keep them engaged and reading!

With a literacy-rich environment, I foresee my students closing their reading gaps by the end of the school year.
