My Students
Reading brings a wealth of knowledge! These students want to read but they do not have books at home!
My students are wonderful children that struggle in reading! Part of the problem is that they are not able to get their hands on books to read and enjoy at home! Our school is a Title 1 school that is made up of many different cultures. Many of the parents spend money on food and clothing and have little left over for books!
My Project
The books that I have requested will be used to send home with the students. Each student will get a bag and choose books to take home. They can keep them until they are finished reading them and return them for more! Students will always have access to books at home!
If students are going to become better readers they have to practice and sharpen their reading skills! I want to put books in their hands so that they can do just this! Please help me supply my students with books!
