My students need a variety of books to explore everyday. Having sets of books such as the Days with Bear collection, they are able to learn about author's purpose and style.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are special because they are eager to learn as this is most of their first time in school. They have different backgrounds and it is important to have different reading experiences in school, as they may not have many the same opportunities at home.
I want to create a classroom environment where they feel welcome and comfortable to encourage them to come to school everyday.
Reading materials are important in a child's life and having them available in my classroom is the best way to prepare them for a successful future.
My Project
This project will help my students engage in different reading styles and it will introduce them to different styles and genres necessary in Kindergarten.
Different book genres is important now and will expand their knowledge for years to come.
With this collection, I hope they are able to carry memories and stories to help them connect with other books as they grow and give them a spark and love for reading that they will carry for the rest of their lives. I hope to impact in them a love for reading they will remember forever even if it starts at the age of 5!
