Help me give my students books on their levels to go along with high-interest themes (zoo, transportation, farm) to help motivate learning!

What do you think of when someone says the words "loving" "eager" and "spunky"? I'll tell you what I think about when I hear those words, the students in my class.
Although our students may be small in number, they are big at heart.
We are a self-contained special education classroom full of energy even with varying special needs such as Autism, Down Syndrome, severe medical conditions, physical impairments, hearing impairments, visual impairments, speech impairments, emotional disturbances among others. My kiddos loves to read books. Books are one of the many ways that they learn how to express themselves. The eagerness at story time is amazing! Their smiles says it all!
My students range in grades from kindergartner to fourth grade but cognitively they are on an infant to toddler level. They need many manipulatives to help them stay focused on their learning.
Having a colorful classroom library is very important for student interest in reading. My kids are not able to check out books from the school library or community library because of our book handling skills. We LOVE books in our hands, but we need our books adapted so that we can have books in our hands.
Every book that our kiddos enjoy, I rip them apart, laminate them, and then I rebind the books.
Why do all that extra work? That way kids who may drool (due to medical conditions) do not ruin a book, a simple wipe, and good to go. Some friends are learning book handling skills and we need to add adaptions so that they can turn the pages on their own. If books are laminated, it is very easy to add and remove extras without ruining books. I have very young students who are graduating from board books to real books. We tend to be rough while we are learning how to treat books. If they are laminated and rebound- no big deal. Even our most loved books look the same as day one as day 812.
We unfortunately cannot use libraries to help build our book skills where we are currently. So please take it in your hearts to buy us a new book for our classroom that I can get into our student's hands!
