My Students

My students come from all different types of backgrounds but they are all energetic learners! They are very diverse as far as economic and academic areas go, but all of these students are enthusiastic about learning and progressing. My students want to succeed and they want to be challenged! I am eager to provide for them any reading materials that will help them do that. I want them to enjoy reading while learning about new and interesting people, events, and ideas.

My Project

My students are very interested in learning about history through fun and engaging stories and books. In third grade we write and present biography reports. This is such a fun experience for each student as they come dressed as their character and speak in first person. We all learn so much about each interesting and influential person and what they contributed to make this world a better place.

All students can learn so much from history!

Not only do they learn about the person's life they chose, but also the character traits that are beneficial for us to learn from and try to emulate. This is one of the best learning experiences we have all year!
