Help me give my students the books they need to be GREAT readers! These books are needed to replenish and refresh my old collection.

My Project

These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. Each student in my room will get to enjoy reading along with me as we delve into these books. My current collection is falling, literally apart. My students struggle to analyze the literature with such an old collection. My classroom is a place where my students really enjoy reading! We read fiction and nonfiction on a daily basis. I strive to teach through literature and with these new books, I can do just that! My students will be able to choose books that will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time.

With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level and read along with me to analyze the elements of quality fiction.

They will also be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
