My Students
As the start of the new school year approaches, I am working on getting my classroom in order. I have once again switched grades, going back down to kindergarten from first grade.
I am so excited for this change and the wonderful adventure ahead of me working with kindergartners again and seeing their love of learning.
We are a low economic status school and funding for extra's is very limited. I am so thankful for this website and the help others are willing to give to my students and I!
My Project
My students need more variation of reading materials in our classroom especially books that are centered on a certain skill, such as word families, sight words etc. to help get them more interested and eager to read.
By providing fun and engaging reading resources to my students, I hope to enhance their love of reading and understanding. The books I chose all have bright illustrations and catchy titles to draw the students in to reading them.
I also feel that by making their own books with the mini book kit it will help them to take ownership of their reading as well.
