Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The children I work with are very active and are constantly investigating the world around them. Finding ways for them to learn through exploration and art is my main goal this school year. My school is located in the largest district in Oklahoma City. I work with an amazing group of teachers who have a passion for helping this community through the arts.
I want my first-grade students to come home from school every day, proud of what they have learned, and eager to share with their families.
I am excited to start teaching my students through Arts Integration.
My Project
Books play such an important part in a child's school day, from Early Childhood to High School. I have been blessed with a giant classroom library as well an extensive leveled library. With all these wonderful books, the one thing that I am lacking is a way to keep the books organized and easily accessible.
“Today a reader, tomorrow a leader.”
I want to instill the love of reading for all my students, and in order to do that along with keeping organized, I need a book easel to display theme books along with a leveled library cart for my kids to access.
