My Project

I am requesting leveled and engaging books at all of my students' reading levels. As many educators would agree, engaging "just right" books for young readers are vital to growing lifelong readers.

At this point, our classroom library is very scattered.

I am hopeful that with book series I can engage students and help them fall in love with book characters. These books are level M. Most of our grade-level books are worn down and do not have diverse characters. With these books, students will have developmentally appropriate books and be able to catch up to grade level!

Also in this project is a class camera. The camera will be used to take snaps of students reading! We will "catch" each other practicing reading habits such as staying in one spot, jotting while we read, and reading at a just-right pace.
