Hello! I am a first year teacher learning the ropes of teaching. I teach a wonderful class of 21 fourth grade students. They come from very diverse backgrounds, through their ethnicity and economic status. I have two ESOL students that are able to bring their culture into the classroom!
We have created a fun and safe learning environment in my class.
My students work hard everyday of the week, and they continue to surprise me with their improvements. I am so proud of their hard work and energy.
My Project
I am asking for two bean bag chairs to put in my reading corner. I feel that my students need a push to keep them excited about reading. Being excited about reading leads to the students reading more and learning more!
If they develop a love of reading at this age, they will carry that love throughout their whole life.
I believe that strong readers are the future and I working hard to develop a classroom of strong readers. These bean bag chairs will excite the students to read because they will be with our bookshelf. I know that you care about reading just as much as I do for our children. These children need a safe secure place to read as much as possible.
