My name is Lynette Davis and I teach third grade in Mandeville, Louisiana. Our school is located in the area affected by the hurricane. We are in need of books for the reading corner of our classroom. It would be wonderful to have some Caldecott books to expose the students to award winning classics. We are also in need of books related to our science curriculum in third grade. The students would be able to gain knowledge and become more interested in reading. After reading each book, each student will complete a written book report. The reports will be shared orally in class. The students will gain reading practice, written language practice, and oral communication experience. I hope you can help with our need for books in the classroom. Lynette Davis
