This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember reading a book that you could not put down? Well, my students are on a reading rampage. They are discovering new authors and genres of books and are in desperate need of new books that will quench their thirst for reading.

My students are one of a kind.

They love to come to school and are always wanting to learn. They always put first things first in my classroom. My students recognize that one way to fill their cup of knowledge is through reading books. Some of the only access that my kids have to a variety of reading material is through our classroom library. It needs to be replenished with a variety of genres of books that are grade level appropriate. We hope that you can help us to continue to fill our cup of knowledge by funding our project.

My Project

Receiving a variety of different grade level books in different genres would be amazing! My students will be able to not only improve their reading abilities but will also learn from the books along the way. Having new books will also help them have access to books that meet their current needs. They will be able to continue to fill their cup of knowledge by being exposed to high interest books.

Our project is so important to fund because literacy is one of the most important forces that a child needs to succeed.

Access to reading materials allows a child get on the road to full literacy. It puts them on the right path toward higher level education. My hope is that this project gets funded so my students can be armed with the tools they need to succeed.
