This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My second grade students are passionate about reading! Each and everyone of them is striving to become a stronger reader each and every day.

With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level.

We make time each and every day to read independently. Student pick a book of their choice, at their level and find a comfortable spot to read. With a wide range of reading levels, having enough books at each level to allow for student choice can be difficult. This project would allow students more choice in their book selection and make reading an even more desirable activity.
