This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a Special Education classroom located in the South Bronx. My students are wonderful and obviously deserve the best. They work super hard and they are excited and eager to learn. I am hoping through these means I can help make that happen.

My Project

These graphic novels will help engage young readers and expose them to classic and novel tales.

Reading will come alive as they get pulled into the stories that both grab their interest and meet them at their reading level.

These books will be great for independent reading in class, take-home packets, and reading groups. It's important that students be excited about reading and see the intrinsic and rewarding value of a book, especially in this digital age with every young pair of eyes on a screen. Let's get them reading!
