"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." - Benjamin Franklin
Every day is a new adventure in my classroom.
I teach 32, eager fifth-grade students who come ready to learn. My students are struggling in all academic subject areas, especially reading and math. Most are working below grade level making it difficult to follow the classroom curriculum. I know they will succeed with the right small group materials specifically geared for struggling learners. Thank you for your support! We truly appreciate your generosity!
After many years of teaching, I am teaching fifth grade. I love it! My third graders love to read, unfortunately our classroom library needs more challenging books to keep their interest. They chose a great variety of books such as the Dork Diaries, Weird But True, Graphic Novels, Comic Strips, and scary, mystery books! My students need books that capture their interest and build their reading stamina. The books I have chosen are chapter books my students will be able to take home and read!
The books I am requesting are direct requests from my students.
We sat on the carpet in the classroom library and brainstormed! We created a list of genres, books series and topics my students would like to read. Your donation will reinforce literacy skills as well as foster a love for reading.
Please help me fill my classroom library with wonderful third grade books for my students!
