My Students
My school has a strong sense of pride and community. We strive to make our school a place in which the students can acquire a variety of educational experiences that they may not get otherwise. This is an impressionable age to begin teaching lifelong skills.
My students are passionate and love learning.
I want to make sure my students get the tools they need in order to learn essential skills that will eventually allow them to become life long learners.
My Project
With a class set of "Who Was Henry Ford?" I will be able to guide my students though valuable lessons of understanding-fiction books.
By fourth grade, students need to start moving from learning to read, towards reading to learn.
Using quality texts is that the entire class can read together and discuss features, structure, and content is one of the best ways for students to learn to get the most out of a text.
Not only will this particular novel help with literacy skills, it also ties in with our Michigan Social Studies content, allowing students to make connections to our Michigan history.
