Our class consists of twenty-four students that enjoy learning. We are located in Nebraska and are proud to be part of the public schools. We are a suburban school that does not receive funding from other programs, like Title I for example, which means we don't have extra funds for classroom supplies. Our students come from a variety of backgrounds but enjoy coming to school every day!
Our school is full of amazing students, teachers, and staff that make it enjoyable for everyone to come to school every day.
We are constantly working to be a top performing school in the district. Our goal is to prepare every student every day for success in and out of the classroom.
My students must keep up with the latest advancements in education to spark an interest in reading. Education is changing every single day, and so are the interest of my students. Students in my classroom like to read about superheroes and villains. I would like to have books that will hold their interests and keep them reading in my classroom.
Struggling readers will often pick up a graphic novel because the pictures and visuals are less intimidating than a typical book.
Students who read these graphic novels find reading fun and begin to read more for enjoyment! Helping students begin to learn that reading is fun is perfect way to build better readers. Graphic novels are a gateway to better reading skills for reluctant readers. My students will love getting their hands on graphic novels.
