My Students

In our classroom, we choose mindfulness, kindness and joy each day. We have three sections of fifth graders at our school. Each teacher has a homeroom class for Reading, Math and Word Work. I teach each section of Science.

My students are fearless, compassionate young people.

They work hard to meet the high expectations that we set for them. Our students excel in the environment that the three teachers have worked hard to create. They continue to amaze us everyday!

My Project

My students need more books! In order to continue to develop a love of reading, we need a wide variety of texts for students to enjoy.

The more books that are available to students, especially the kiddos who struggle to find books they love, the more reading occurs.

Recently, I was nominated for an excellence in teaching award and was gifted a gift card to Donor's Choose. It was such an honor-the parent of one of my students nominated me! I feel that I was able to make an impact due to the mindfulness, kindness and compassion that I have build in my classroom this year!
